Nuclear Power...is it really a greenhouse solution? by Alok O'Brien
It kind of crept up on me towards the end of 2005: nuclear power was not only
back on the agenda, but it was apparently green and safe! The propaganda worked on me slowly and stealthily. I found myself
making assumptions that all of the issues that condemned nuclear power
back in the 70s had all been magically solved, and that yes, the new
peak-oil, climate-changed world needed nuclear power...more
Awakening to Conscious Parenting by Ann Boon
Parenting prompts continual personal evolution in us all. Cameron and I have learned so much since our first child was born five years ago. We are both motivated by the responsibility and privilege of looking after our precious children and despite less time for ourselves, we are both becoming the people we have always wanted to be and starting to do the things we have always dreamed of doing...more
Looking After Mum by Kim McCormick
From the day our children are born, mothers take on a nurturing and caring role. This does not change even as our children get older. We will swap nappy changes and breast feeding with supporting our children when they fall out with their best friend or sit by their hospital bed after they have broken their arm after falling from a skateboard...more

Are Schools Killing Kid's Creativity?
Sir Ken Robinson makes an entertaining case for creating an education system that nurtures creativity,
rather than undermining
it. 'We are educating people out of their
creativity,' Robinson says. The universality of his message is
evidenced by its rampant popularity online. A typical review: 'If you
have not yet seen Sir Ken Robinson's TED talk, please stop whatever
you're doing and watch it now.'...more

People For a Nuclear Free Australia
Sign Up! Australia is presently facing the most dangerous era in its short history. Australian citizens and journalists need to be aware of John Howard's nuclear agenda: uninhibited uranium mining, uranium enrichment, nuclear power generation, reprocessing of radioactive waste and an international nuclear waste repository in central Australia...more
Breast Cancer Industry a Scam? Support Education, Not Medication.
The 2nd annual publication of the 'Education, Not
Medication' program is designed to teach women the truth about how to
prevent (in 90% of cases) and even cure breast cancer. The breast cancer
industry does not want women to be made aware of these free therapies
because most of the better-known non-profits in the area of breast
cancer are, themselves, dependent on revenues from the companies that
profit from the disease...more

A Hard Rain
David Bradbury's latest film is about nuclear power, in particular the
uranium mining industry and the consequences for our planet of the
current headlong rush nuclear power as a panacea to all of society's
ills. From the Olympic Dam project in South Australia that daily bleeds the
Great Artesian Basin dry whilst simultaneously allowing radioactive
tailings water to be released that will eventually enter this great
water system, the mining families that have moved to the boomtowns in
the desert to France's nuclear industry, Bradbury takes a hard look at
the entire nuclear industry worldwide...more
David Bradbury has been making anti-nuclear films for 20 odd years. He has a
screening pack available for those who wish to hold screenings of this
and other films he has made. Contact Kindred for more details on 02 6684 4353.
