Babies Who Bathe Too Much
Splashing happily in the bath and covered from head to toe in bubbles, your baby looks a picture of contentment. But experts have warned that bathing infants every day may lead to painful skin conditions including eczema. It appears that parents are ignoring advice to limit baths to two or three a week as growing numbers are more concerned with keeping their children clean and germ-free...more

Poetry
for the divine, powerful and unique pregnant woman
No one will give birth quite like you will, yet thousands of women across our planet will be sharing in your experience of giving birth. Millions of women have given birth before, and millions more will follow. Your time is now.
Birth is potentially the most empowering experience a woman can have, and is comparable, yet kicks ass over climbing Mount Everest. Never doubt: you have all the inner resources you will need and more to birth your baby as you imagine: with grace, courage, humour and surrender.
You are going to meet your little one sooner than you think.
Step by step, opening by opening using your body wisdom you will guide your baby down through the birth passage before she or he comes wriggling joy and happiness into your exhilarated arms.
The light at the end of the tunnel: Your incredible, perfect baby belonging to a beautiful and accomplished mother.
If you encounter fear during this transformative journey, remember to listen to the little angel perched like a dove on the bare skin of your shoulder saying, “You are doing so well, and you are nearly there.”
With love, Marissa Treichel - mother of Pearl (5 months old).
Marissa laboured mostly at home, starting at dusk, and gave birth by dawn at the Mullumbimby Birthing Centre in the birthing pool.
